Bring it on!

I feel terrible for neglecting my blog so much! Telling you all that we have had a lot going on doesn't even begin to explain it. Below are some pictures from Christmas morning. We had Christmas at my dads with my sister and her son and my in laws! Santa was good to Sydney and Jonathan! Please excuse my many chins and Sydney's long piece of hair in her face.

First, let me give a baby Powell update. We do not know the baby's gender because it has been stubborn. So, with that said, I certainly feel very unprepared and nervous. I have been trying to pick out cute, neutral bedding. So if any of you have any ideas, send them on!

We are 10 weeks away from the finish line! YES! I will have to say, I am ready. I have reached the miserable point. I resemble a walrus, waddle like a duck, have 6 chins, lose my breath when I walk, can't sleep at night, have heartburn that is beyond what any words can describe and go to the bathroom 45 times a day....literally.

Sydney is ready to be a big sister! I am anxious to see how she reacts. The only part she seems to be nervous about is my hospital stay. The only and last time she has seen me in the hospital was when we had our miscarriage. She knew I was pregnant and then mommy came home without a baby. So this was all a little confusing and I keep getting questions like, "Will the hospital keep this baby like it keeps our nother baby?" I don't want to confuse her so I just remind her that our "nother" baby is in heaven with Jesus, not at the hospital.

And I am happy to announce that after 3 years of working 2 full time jobs....85 or so hours a week....my sweet husband was promoted to management at Applebee's and will only have to work one job now!! We are thrilled! He is starting school in a few days to finish up his bachelors degree and I am still in school, so this could still be a little tricky. However, I know we will find a way to make it work. We always do.

The only downfall to his new job is that we will be moving an hour and a half away from where we live now. My family is here. His family is 2 hours away already so that will put us almost 4 hours away from them. We hate this side to the promotion, but we feel so blessed. This opportunity came when we were least expecting it and we knew we couldn't turn it down.

Neglected

I know I have neglected my blog...YET AGAIN, however, in my defense, I have been faced with circumstances lately that have me rather.....um......stressed.
Everything is going well with Baby Powell. I have 18 weeks left. I still get sick several times a day (most days) but I have my energy back! YES!
A day without nausea is so exciting for me! We do not know the baby's gender because apparently it's stubborn like its daddy :) he he! Shh....don't tell him I said that!

Matt and I were recently faced with a huge situation. I don't want to say what that situation is right now, maybe in the near future, but we are all healthy and we know with the Lord's guidance we can overcome this.
We never think about how we can have it all one day and the next things can be the total opposite. Be thankful every minute of everyday for everything you have! It isn't until something is snatched from us that we realize how much we had or for us...we see how much we do have!
This is an unsettling time for us, so we can use a lot of prayers! Thank God the good Lord never neglects us, like I have my blog! I apologize again and promise to try to do better!

No matter how big you get, you will always be my sweet baby girl. I can't believe in a week you will turn 4. You are so smart and I know you can do anything you want to do.
